CDL-A drivers for interstate carriers
Drivers for your trucks. Straight terms, no upfront fees.
Direct CDL Staffing recruits over-the-road drivers for small and mid-size carriers. You deal with one recruiter, you meet only drivers who fit your job and your insurance, and you pay after a driver's first week, not before.
1 What we do
We find CDL-A drivers for trucking companies that need to fill seats. That's the whole business. We don't sell software, job-board ads or lists of applicants. We bring you drivers who are ready to talk about your job.
We work with interstate carriers running OTR freight in every state, mostly fleets with somewhere between a few trucks and a hundred.
2 How it works
- You tell us what the job is: lanes, home time, pay, equipment and your insurance requirements.
- We find drivers with experience hauling your freight and screen out anyone who doesn't fit.
- You interview only the finalists. You pay only after a driver completes their first week, and if they leave within 30 days, we replace them at no cost.
3 What we check
Before you hear a driver's name, we've confirmed:
- the CDL-A is valid: class, endorsements, expiration date;
- the driver meets your insurer's minimums for age, experience and MVR;
- the driving record and recent work history hold up;
- the driver's English is good enough for a roadside inspection, which has been an out-of-service violation again since June 2025;
- the driver has heard the real job: miles, home time, equipment and pay.
You still run your own pre-employment steps as the employer: drug test, Clearinghouse query and road test.

5 Questions carriers ask
Why should I pay a recruiter instead of posting a job ad?
A job ad gets you applications. Most of the work is in what comes after: calling people back, finding out who your insurer will accept, and getting the job across honestly so the driver doesn't quit at orientation. That's the part we do.
How fast can you find someone?
It depends on the job: lanes, pay, home time and how strict your insurance is. We'll tell you straight after we see the details.
Do you work with teams?
Yes. A team of two drivers is $1,500, paid after the team's first week.
What if I don't hire anyone?
Then you owe nothing.
